As a provider of high quality childcare we take health and safety very seriously. With this in mind we have put together information based on Public Health England advice regarding coronavirus.
Here at West Park Kindergarten we aim to provide an environment where children are nurtured and protected so that they are kept safe, as well as giving them the support to become independent and confidant individuals.
The opportunity for children to experience "awe and wonder" within our nursery environment and local community is imbedded within our practice. Parents are welcomed into the setting and encouraged to take part in events and join us for celebrations. Together with all our families we strive to constantly be improving.
All children are supported with their individual learning journey through the EYFS curriculum and all key-workers have a clear image for what each child will learn, know and do. Children will be encouraged to express their thoughts and encouraged to learn through testing their own ideas to develop a curiosity for exploring their world, while finding a love for learning and becoming the thinkers and doers of the future.
West Park will strive to meet all the needs of the full range of our children and families. On leaving children will have met their own targets so as they have the skills and knowledge for wherever their future learning paths take them.
Quality Childcare
At West Park Kindergarten we pride ourselves on providing quality childcare that is also affordable for our local community. With over 20 years of experience and a family of nurseries which all hold Ofsted gradings of either Good or Outstanding you can be assured of receiving the best care for your child while still being able to access the lowest childcare fees for our under 2's in the area.
There are a variety of grants and funding options available for eligible parents, we accept all childcare vouchers and we a part of the new Government tax free childcare scheme.
We Are Outstanding
In January 2022 we had our most recent Ofsted inspection, we are delighted to be able to share with you that we are officially an Outstanding nursery.
Everyone at the nursery is extremely proud of the result but we are determined to not stop there. We will continue finding ways to improve upon the childcare opportunities we offer to the children who attend our setting, and to build upon this outstanding grading we have received going forward.
If you wish to read our latest report you can find out about it on our Ofsted page.
A Message From Our Director
I would like to thank all the amazing, hardworking, and passionate staff at West Park Kindergarten whose efforts have earned them a well deserved Outstanding grading from Ofsted. I am extremely proud of each and every one whose hard work and dedication has helped them to achieve such an amazing result.
On March 6th we celebrate be the 22nd anniversary of the opening of West Park Kindergarten, our first nursery, and it brings me great joy to see how far we have come. We now have 5 nurseries (4 of them based in South Tyneside) and all of them have earned an Ofsted Outstanding grading which is all down to the exceptional teams they have who continue to give everything so that we can provide such outstanding childcare for our community.
I would also like to thank all our lovely parents who have supported and encouraged us throughout the years, without your support and kind comments this would not have been possible. Everything we do at our nurseries is for you and the children, so that we may give them the very best start in life.

We offer more funded childcare entitlement than any other provider in the region.
We offer 39 weeks of funded childcare throughout the year, more than any other provider in the north east.
